Junior Investment Manager (m/f/d)

As a venture capital investor, OCCIDENT finances innovative deep tech start-ups in the life sciences and industrial tech fields. For further expansion, we are looking for new talent to strengthen our investment management team at our Munich offices.

In this exciting position you are responsible for

  • Leading the new investments process, including organization and co-ordination with the start-ups
  • Screening and evaluation of potential investment opportunities, attending relevant events, maintaining a profitable network
  • Comprehensive analyses to assess the feasibility of the success potential of innovative technologies
  • Evaluation, verification and preparation of information on potential start-up investment projects (due diligence)
  • Support in the negotiation of terms, the drafting of term sheets and the finalization of contracts
  • Active management of existing start-up portfolio companies (reporting, funding, relationship management)

What we expect of you

  • University graduate in the fields of natural sciences, engineering or computer science; additional business degree advantageous
  • Passion for start-ups, new technologies and innovations
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience in the field of venture capital/start-ups or similar
  • Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
  • Self-confident, personable demeanor and very good negotiating skills
  • Very strong analytical and joined-up thinking skills
  • Highly structured working style, co-operative and engaged personality
