OCCIDENT Launches Project Study Opportunity for TUM Students

As part of our OCCIDENT@ACADEMIA initiative, we maintain close relationships with universities and research institutions to strengthen the startup ecosystem through joint events, knowledge transfer and individual partnership programs.

We would like to expand this initiative to Europe and, together with the Technical University of Munich, have developed the research question on how the hidden gems and rising stars of the European startup ecosystem in the incubator and university landscape can be examined with regard to the strength of deep tech spin-offs.

The cooperation takes place with the Chair of Entrepreneurial Finance at the TUM School of Management and enables students to acquire know-how about the latest developments in the European startup ecosystem and should lead to strategic recommendations for early stage VC dealsourcing. Students will work directly with the OCCIDENT investment management team and gain insights into the perspective of a venture capitalist in the selection of deep tech start-ups.
