It was a great pleasure to host the OCCIDENT Pitch Event 2025 together with Helmholtz Association and xista science ventures.
OCCIDENT as science investor focuses on early stage investing, on spin-offs from scientific research. Therefore, we are very grateful for our two co-hosts who are deeply rooted in the scientific environment.
We saw 18 inspiring pitches from the life sciences and industrial tech fields and had a wonderful time networking, exchanging ideas and deepening relationships.
Moreover, and this is particularly important in these challenging times, the event strengthened mutual trust – trust that we as investors are strongly dependent on, but which we must also provide to our partners and founding teams.
Finally, we recalled that funding innovation, enabling founding teams to perform and thus creating sustainable value for society are always important drivers for rewarding investments.
